Who We Are
The National Institute of Science (NIS) is a nonprofit, tax-exempt national scientific organization. This organization provides an opportunity for students and faculty members at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU’s) to exchange information and present scholarly research papers in science and mathematics. In addition, the NIS provides a forum for participants to interact and network with high school students, community groups, and other scientific organizations and institutions. Each year, the NIS, along with the Beta Kapp Chi Scientific Honor Society (BKX), holds its joint annual meeting to give students an opportunity to present research papers and network with professionals currently…
